Meet Rachel, Director of Programs and quirky, caring mother of three. Rachel has been with Cancer Hope Network since 2018 but she has been in the business of kindness her whole life.

When Rachel was younger her dream job was anything that allowed her to help people. She always loved visiting the local nursing home with her dad and bringing joy to the folks living there. Her love of people and caring for them began a life of supporting others.

She worked as a home manager for women with special needs before becoming a mother and then joining the CHN team as a coordinator.

When Rachel found Cancer Hope Network she didn’t just see it as a job she “could do” she saw it as a job she “was made for.” Rachel is the team member responsible for organizing and overseeing the matching of clients with survivors. She gets to use her gift of finding solutions to make the unique connections that allow hope to spread.

There are not many people who can say they’ve successfully hosted a radio show for 10 years but Randibeth can! Randibeth is the Associate Director of Special Events and the CHN Office Manager. She has been with Cancer Hope Network for two years leading the team in planning all of our annual and new events.

Randibeth was the Printing Director at Centenary University before she was asked to be a radio host and although she never imagined herself hosting her own show she did so successfully for ten years.

Randibeth has been able to merge her love of music and kind heart by volunteering at Musikfest, a music festival hosted by a nonprofit in Bethlehem PA each year. She has dabbled as a business owner with her own promotions company but  missed being part of a team, preferably one with a strong mission.

Randibeth feels connected to Cancer Hope Network because the organization’s ethos matches her personal belief that “everybody is important.”

Meet Beth Blakey, Executive Director & COO (Interim) for Cancer Hope Network and self-declared book nerd and avid runner. Beth’s favorite childhood toy was whatever book she was reading at the time, and she always dreamed of being a writer. This passion for writing and love of literature followed her into adulthood and has helped to shape her career path.

Beth graduated with high honors from Rutgers University/Livingston College with a degree in English and a minor in Communications. She also holds her integrative nutrition health coaching certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She began her career in the PR industry, and although her job in PR was exciting, she soon realized there was something missing from her work life. She found that missing piece when she discovered the world of nonprofits.

Beth quickly found that her writing skills were ideally suited for a career in fundraising and put those skills to work for a variety of nonprofits including Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Rutgers University Foundation, and the Mayo Theatre. She also ran her own nonprofit and corporate communications consulting business for 13 years before finding her place at Cancer Hope Network.

Beth is responsible for Cancer Hope Network’s fundraising efforts including grant writing and soliciting gifts from individuals, as well as assisting with strategic planning and board development. Her time here started with a promise to do something meaningful after her mom’s battle with cancer, but has transformed into spending every day making a difference in the lives of others.because of you gift
